Scavenger Hunt Programs are a great way for groups to work together and enjoy a highly entertaining experience simultaneously. Our most popular program uses "Mission Impossible" as the central theme. All the programs provide an excellent means for people to experience the sights and sounds of downtown Chicago or other exciting locations. Scavenger Hunts In Chicago (SHIC) develops a themed, customized package based on your organization's culture and desired outcomes.

The group is first divided into equal teams. The goal for each team is to complete missions that guide them to various points of interest, and ultimately to the final destination. Along the way, teams take pictures to document their adventure and collect items from a pre-determined list. If desired, SHIC also organizes and administers additional details surrounding the event, including restaurant reservations and transportation.

Each team has their own "Spy Guide" facilitator that provides the clues and missions, manages the "Spy Funds", takes instant photographs of the group, holds the items that are collected and assists the group when necessary.  With "Spy Guides" availalbe throughout the entire event to guide each team, SHIC is able to provide far more challenging & entertaining missions & clues than other competitors.

Each team is given $50 - $100 in "Spy Funds". This money is used to obtain supplies and fun items needed for the adventure. Teams may not spend their own money, so they must think creatively and strategically when spending their "Spy Funds".

By solving clues and puzzles teams discover the destinations they need to visit. Upon arriving at the destination, they are presented with a specific mission to complete. For example, teams may be given the mission to enter a famous tavern, purchase a round of drinks and then compose and recite a toast about their company or team. Later, a panel of judges determines which toast is the most creative or displays the company message the best.

Teams are required to take instant photographs during the event, which captures special event memories and documents their adventure. SHIC supplies instant cameras and film. The "Spy Guides" take the pictures of the group, which must include all team members.

During their adventure, teams are required to collect a variety of clue items that relate to the theme of the event. Examples of items are yesterday's newspaper, a copy of a team member's hand, a fortune cookie and foreign currency.

At the conclusion of the event, SHIC facilitators tally the results and announce the winning team. SHIC also presents the day's pictures and clue items collected to the teams. If desired, SHIC facilitators review the messages and skills learned during the day's activities (i.e. communication, teamwork, strategic planning) and discuss the importance of continually developing and utilizing these skills in the workplace.

If desired, SHIC coordinates a post-event cocktail reception and/or dinner that serves as the final destination of the event. SHIC has established relationships with a number of restaurants and boats that have private rooms and excellent food and drink packages.
